FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
When will I get my finisher's gift?
Finisher's gifts will be shipped approximately 2 weeks after the end of the event.
Do I have to do all the miles with the same dog?
Nope! Feel free to use as many dogs as you'd like to reach a total of 30 miles.
Do I have to do 1 mile every day for 30 days?
Nope! The only rule is to have 30 miles complete by the end of the month. You can complete the miles on a schedule and at a pace suitable for you and your dog. Many people will choose to run more miles on some days, and rest on others. Whatever works for you!
How do I get my mileage log and what do I do with it when I am done?
After you make your donation you will receive a confirmation email with a link to download the Mileage Log. Print a copy and keep track of your miles throughout the Challenge month. Use the link on our website to upload a copy of your completed mileage log (a scan or photograph works fine!) no later than one week after the end of the Challenge Month.
I do not live in San Diego - can I still participate?
Yes! The great thing about a virtual event like this is that you can complete the mileage on your own schedule, at your own pace, in any city of your choice.
I want to participate but the event has already started, is it too late to sign up?
As this is a 30 day challenge, registration will close on the 1st day of the event month. If you missed registration, please send us an email and we'll work something out.
I don't have a dog. Can I still participate?
Yes! If you don't have a dog of your own, you could ask a friend or neighbor to exercise their dog or sign up to volunteer as a dog walker at a local shelter.
How can I meet other people participating in this event?
Participants are welcome to organize 3030 meet-ups in their area. If would like to organize a meet-up please send us an email with the details and we will be glad to help promote it!
When will this event be offered again?
Yes! We aim to offer a 3030 Challenge for every month that has 30 days - April, June, September and November.
How do you choose the benefiting shelters?
We choose benefiting shelters we have an existing relationship with or from referrals. If you have a shelter you'd like to nominate for the next 3030 Challenge, please complete this nomination form.
What does Rescue Run Club get out of this?
Rescue Run Club does not make any money off of this event, the sole purpose is to give-back to shelters and build an active dog-friendly community. 100% of the net proceeds are donated. To date, the 3030 Challenge has raised over $13,000 for shelters and rescues.
